For those who’d like to know a bit more about each of the technologies being investigated before they complete their survey, we’re holding a series of drop-in sessions, where experts and members of BABE will be on hand to answer your questions. These have been arranged as follows:
Thurs 18 Sep from 3pm – 6pm in the Moot Hall.
Saturday 27 Sep from 9am to 1.30pm near the Sustainable Brampton stall at the Brampton Farmers Market.
Wed 8 Oct from 6pm to 8pm in the Brampton Community Centre Café.
At the sessions on 18 Sep and 8 Oct we’ll be holding a free prize draw to give away twelve Efergy wireless electricity monitors (value £50 each) which can help you save up to 15% off your electricity bill!
And for anyone wishing to volunteer for survey delivery we’ll be holding a short briefing at 6pm on Thurs 18 Sept, after the first drop-in session. Please be assured that BABE will only undertake a renewable energy project that has been supported by the majority of people living in the Brampton and Beyond area. A high level of participation in this first stage of community engagement will maximise our chances of then making a successful bid for the next stage of funding to take whichever project has been chosen by us all through to planning approval. If successful, the potential long term economic, social and environmental benefits to the local area could be very substantial.
Everyone on our database and who completes the survey will be given the opportunity to choose a number of options after the feasibility study has concluded its work later this Autumn. Do consider forwarding this message to anyone else you think might like to have their opinions counted in this exciting project and ask them to get in touch with me via This email address is being protected from spambots.
